Face of Siam:
An Art Exhibition
I n t r o d u c t i o n
Due to an exciting invitation from the Artist Voice to exhibit in Hahndorf, Adelaide as part of the Heysen Festival in South Australia, 2 Oceans
23 will be showing Mitree Parahoms' pre-Australian exhibition from May 6th through to mid July. The Heysen festival is a celebration of one of Australia's most loved rural artists who painted scenes around the township of Hahndorf in the early 1900's. There is a definite parallel between Mitree and Heysen, as Mitree colourful native paintings are also created on & inspired by his family's farm in Sisaket depicting rural scenes.
Even though the context of this talented Contemporary Thai artist is a far cry from Heysen's work, it is obvious that these two artists share the same love of their respective origins. Mitree will exhibit 30 pieces of work in Australia, some of which will be show at 2 Oceans 23 along with his new works
